(Lava starts flying out of the ground submerging the whole battlefield)

( gaara lifts up the kages, naruto, sasuke, and the hokages from the lava)

641 Mei's past

Anyone who says this is over hyping mei. No mei doesn't have a back story and this could really give us reasons why she have love issues. Also it seems like she would want to kill the person who manipulated her predecessor or lover .

With the situation they are currently in, I'm pretty sure we don't need to go into someone else's past. There are loads of characters who we haven't seen enough of their past but that doesn't mean we should see them in the middle of Juubito/SA battle..so I didn't like the emphasis on Mei's character.

However I did like your prediction idea that Kages save Naruto and Sasuke

Okay, knowing Kishi, he always does important things on chapters divisible by 10 (ex. next chapter is 640).

Mei is certainly not important in this situation, knowing that Obito is now the 10 tails jin. and Naruto and Sasuke are being attacked by him. So it is unnecessary.
