first this is not a my theory.i found it on another website.it seems really interesting and i decided to share it with nb bro and sis.thank you.
i think below spoiler help a bit

Following the story of norland:
skypia was originally jaya, the golden city and land of the dwarves.
and look, nobody noticed this: jaya before it was divided by the knock-up stream looks exactly like doflamingo’s jolly roger!

jaya was ruled by the shandians (shandorians) who you already know were fighting the skypians (bilkans) for control of their homeland. both races originated from the moon.
the shandians believed in an ancestral warship (pluton) and were the one’s who guarded the ponegylphs.
if you look carefull at dressrosa and green bit you will notice they fit into eye-the holes of jaya before it was separated in half:

doflamingo answered the question of his connection to the celestial dragons, with “it’s much more rooted than that”
the truth is, doflamingo is a shandorian and he is a descendent of the kindogm of jaya, where norland visited.
this mean doflamingo is the man who knows the ancient warship’s location and he can in fact, read the poneglyphs.
this explain why bellamy travelled to skypia and retrieved the golden pillar for doflamingo. this also explains why doflamigo is always wearing that feathered coat, to hide his wings, thats how he flies!
Now to the rest of my theory:
jaya is the golden city and land of dwarves told of in norland’s adventures. when norland told the king of his home country about the island upon his return, the king organised an expedition to the island in order to take all its gold.
upon returning to the island half of it was missing – the half were all the gold resided. norland was called a liar and exceucted back in home county. the missing parts of the island had been shot up into the white-white-stream also known as the ‘sky ocean’ and became what are called the sky islands.
specifically the larger chunk of jaya became known as skypia. before jaya was slit in two it had the shape of a skull. if you look at the shape of dressrosa and green bit along with the distance between them, you will notice they somewhat resemble the two eye-holes of the jaya skull.
how did they end up in the other half of the ocean? these may have been taken in by the white-white-stream and ended up falling in to the new world’s sea.
The most sublte hint to prove accuracy given is Bellamy travelling to skypia to retrieve a golden pillar for doflamingo. Also the dwarves themselve’s spoke of norland yet they are on green bit, yet their home was jaya and they weren’t on skypia.
the shandorians worshipped the ancient weapon pluton and guarded the poneglyphs. norland’s story occurred 400 years ago, doflamingo being king of dressorosa likely means he is a royal descendent of the shandorians who ruled the kingdom of jaya before it was affected by the knock-up stream.
doflamingo’s connection to the ancient weapon would explain his influence over the world government and why he is dubbed the most dangerous man in the world.
22 years ago the scientists of Ohara where exterminated by the world government, this is around the same time Doflamingo joined the shichibukai.
I believe the reason for this was that doflamingo offered his knowledge of pluton and the poneglyphs in exchange for his position within the shichibukai/wg thus the world government no longer needed the scientists of ohara.

My first post so cut me some slack XD
Bartolomeo said that he and Luffy went way back. I used to think maybe in their childhood but Luffy was pretty secluded from most people and would have recognised Bartolomeo at least when he saw him in the ring whether he was a friend or foe. So Bartolomeo must have been someone who'd seen Luffy, just someone in the background.

Someone on deviant-art (Zom8ieZiLLa) brought to my attention this image from the manga chapter 224.

See him?

He looks a bit similar to Bartolomeo. He has the same hairstyle but a bit shorter and wears the same earings bartolomeo wore in the colosseum.

Yeah, he may be missing the fangs and the clean shave but those he could have gotten over the 3 years time period. Especially since he became a big time rookie 1 year before he current events of the manga.
It was said that after Bellamy's defeat to Luffy that all the new pirates that Bellamy had recruited to join his cause scattered. Bartolomeo could have been part of the Bellamy pirates for a brief time which is why he was in the bar. I'm not sure whether he cared about his Captains defeat or not since he showed no concern about him in the arena. But he was probably around to see this...

And probably this...

Which is why in the colosseum he showed fear and surprise that Luffy was actually there.

A lot of things in this arc have gone back to the skypiea arc and I don't think Oda would have highlighted these characters for nothing, especially the way that he has been foreshadowing things in the manga.. Who knows, I could be completely wrong anyway. Tell me what you think Bartolomeo's connection is to luffy. :yeah:
