Well, considering that a great part of the enemies were edo tensei, then yes, they would've been useful. But if they only had knowledge in sealing jutsus and lacked fighting skills, they would ve usefull, but not very much, because all the units had sealing groups. Either way, they would be useful, even if it's a little.

Yes they would have...against madara and even the jyubi...let's not forget they were feared for sealing.
