Firstly, we have to define what "normal" is. You know that other species, such as bonobo apes, lions, penguins, bats, and bears exhibit homosexuality. Since we understand this part, wouldn't it be applicable to state that this trait is Natural among communities? We have also demonstrated that this trait is expressed through several positions (though we haven't found the underlying gene for it). You may not agree with homosexuality, but you have to at least agree that it is naturally-occurring, thus normal.
I agreed with almost everything you said. But I guess you're making mistaking normal with common, which is very common. It is very hard to define "normal", so I'll start with common. Common is when the event has a frequency. If it happens a lot, it's very common, if it barely happens, it's not common. The homossexualsim is indeed present in many other species, which increases it's frequency, making it more common. But is it normal? Well, I think not. What should be considered normal for the male in every specie? To have "***" with the female. Why? Because with it, they will reproduce, leaving a descendent and perpetuating the species. The animals' reproductive system is adapted for that, not for the homossexualism. So, the homossexualism goes "against" the reproductive nature of the species. That's why it's not normal. I'm not saying it's bad, good, right or wrong. This has nothing to do with what I'm saying. I think they should keep studing the causes of the homossexualism, maybe they find something that makes it normal. But so far, this is it.
