People are obviously underestimating this mans ability to put someone into his Genjutsu...

Kakashi, the man who had prep time and knew of Itachi's abilities was put into a Genjutsu.

Tried to break it... but failed even when Itachi wasn't at full strength at this point to use MS.

His brother Sasuke, the only one who could break Tsukuyomi and claimed he could see through everything

Realizes later Itachi had him fooled the entire time

During the war, Itachi is revived as an edo. If tsukuyomi would have been used, Neither Naruto or B would have broken that genjutsu. FYI Itachi was able to cast a genjutsu and control individual's even passed the sensor division

Lastly, and most importantly, Kabuto. The man that was immune to Genjutsu, falls victim to Itachi

Now my question is, do you think if Itachi wanted you in his Genjutsu, could it be avoided? Obviously I'm saying no U_U

Well it can be broken as sasuke did it although itachi allowed it but still he did broke it and i think it doesn't work against MS as kakashi after awakening MS said to itachi that it won't be same as last time meaning he can break his genjutsu. Also itachi has never used it against any top tier except orochimaru and he too was about to break it...!

kakashi doesnt have uchiha blood . so he cant break it

Tsukuyomi is a way different time slot, 72 hours for the one inside it and second(s) for everyone observing. It would be hard for a Jin to react that fast to break the host out. It's not a basic genjutsu U_U

Yeah, I agree with that....But, the tailed beast is not an external observer....actually, their chakra & souls r interwined...so, we couldn't actually say that....

Itachi's genjutsu can be broken. At-least by 2 or 3 type of shinobis:-
1. Same Blood Relative
2. Perfect Jinchurikis
3. Somewhat by the shinobis with full trained guys against genjutsu like Deidara

First of all there's genjutsu, then there's Tsukiyomi. They are distinctly different, especially since Itachi cannot come anywhere close to using his regular genjutsu with the same power as Tsukiyomi; it's a super genjutsu granted by his MS.

Secondly, Kakashi for some reason ignored his own advice thinking that the Sharingan makes you immune to genjutsu... it does not.

Thirdly, if you don't look Itachi directly in the eyes then you don't have to worry about Itachi's genjutsu or Tsukiyomi.

Lastly, Orochimaru was resisting Itachi's paralyzing genjutsu and was about to break it, Naruto with his inexperience was able to resist Itachi's sleep-inducing genjutsu, Bee broke Itachi's genjutsu, and Sasuke was able to resist his genjutsu altogether. The only one Itachi's genjutsu actually beat was a 9 year old Deidara that didn't know anything about the Sharingan.

Actually, anyone with a strong mental fortitude can break Tsukiyomi.

Tsukiyomi's effect is that it causes mental strain and breaks the opponent's spirit. So, having a strong mental fortitude can resist that.

Completely overpowered against anyone that isn't on good terms with their Bijuu if they're a Jinn, or against someone with equal ocular powers. (Which is just a select few from the Uchiha clan, possibly Nagato)
