Now that Juubi is in control Obito can't do anything about it, that mindless body can be owned pretty easily by a genjutsu of Itachi's level.
I see now why Kishi didn't let Itachi being "alive" for too long because he has an answer for even Juubi.

If that's true Totsuka no Tsurugu isn't needed... dat Itachi, he truly deserves his title after all.

Sharigan see's through genjutsu. Even if the Juubi is taking over the hosts body he still see's through Obito's eyes. Any type of genjutsu will be fruitless against him.
