Thats why I believe he's not there right now, because Kishi had to remove him from the Kages and their battles in fear of him becoming too strong. I'm not talking Juubito level, but you get me.
When I really put some thought into it, the Obito/Kakashi fight was kind of pointless, didn't really serve a purpose in the plot. You can barely argue that it 'weakened Obito for Madara to take his body', because you have to remember that for one, Madara is an Edo with bottomless strength to take him on at any time, and 2, Obito grew up on Madara, so he pretty much is like a copy of Madara.
Now what I think is that Kishi HAD to remove Kakashi from the Kages/Juubito fight because of the seals that they're using. Kakashi being the masked beast he is would easily be able able to copy all of Hiruzen, Tobiramas and Minatos attacks. And as we know, Kishi wouldn't want that. And it's not even just restricted to this battle. You ever noticed how NONE of kakashi's part 2 opponents have used handseals, except for only Kakazu? If you ask me, that sounds extremely fishy. It's because if any of them had, he'd have (by the end of the series) become like a mix of all his opponents. It's like Kishi had to set up all of Kakashis fights very carefully so that he would gain too much.
Maybe I'm not completely accurate. Maybe that's not even his reasoning. But you can't deny that its true.
