"sasuke and naruto "

Well guys from the last manga most people do not understand why Sasuke saved Naruto. The simple fact is because they are "friends".
The thing is their kind of friendship is different. Just like hashi and madara.

1. Sasuke doesn't hate Naruto but doesn't want Naruto to surpass him either.

2. Even though Sasuke doesn't say it Naruto is the closest thing to a family he has alive.

3. Sasuke saving Naruto was also a sign that he wants to be the one who takes Naruto down he is the one who has been acknowledged by the village and all.

4. It's like Sasuke got the skill, the talent, and the brains but is still jealous of Naruto who got i wouldn't say none but less of those.

Conclusion
Sasuke wont let Naruto die because he is his conection to the village. His family to return to or that will accept him no matter what.

I agree and disagree lol, i agree that sasuke has always been jealous of narutos power and wants to surpass him unquestionably, but i dont think sasuke cares about friends or family cept itachi. i think sasuke wants to either kill or just straight up beat naruto down to prove he should be hokage not naruto.

As you said, Sasuke just sees him as a rival, only to be defeated by him, not anyone else.
He doesnt know now whether he is stronger than Naruto or not, and Naruto doesnt know either.

But they would like to face each other to determine who is the superior.
