Hey guys. I'm pretty sure most people noticed, but I decided to analyse it. It's interesting that naruto has developed way more during part 2 than during his 3 year training with Jiraya. Of course, his training helped him, he became a real ninja, easily wielding the rasengan and using the kage bushins more wisely, he became stronger and he developed the oodama rasengan. But that's pretty much it. He barely learned how to control the kyuubi(acutally, it seems he didn't learn it at all) and he relied on it's chakra for everything in the beggining of part 2.

Now, his development during part 2. He learned how to use the kage bushins to gather information, he managed to put chakra nature into the rasengan, creating the rasen shuriken. He mastered the perfect toad sage mode and perfected the rasen shuriken(throwing it) .he managed to get the kyuubi's chakra and enter Kyuubi chakra mode. He even became friends with kurama, entering his bijuu mode.

It's pretty funny if you think about it, naruto barely developed in those 3 years. I guess the only char that really developed, creating more powerful techniques and becoming a lot stronger was sasuke.

Anyway, that's it. I know its kind of obvious, but I just wanted to share this curious and weird thing. What do you think?

Honestly the time he spent with jiraiya was a total waste.. If those 2 years were training with kakashi I guarantee he would be a bad ass. Just look at how he trained sasuke during the chunin exams for Gaara's match. Just goes to show kakashi doesnt waste time.

I mean yeah, but it wouldn't make a good story if he had mostly developed during the gap...

how boring would it be if the main character went off for three years which we didn't see and came back with god like strength it's more interesting to see him going through the trials and training

I don't think that it's all that fair to compare narutos 3 years to sasukes. Jiriaya specifically trained naruto to gain much better control of his chakra. This included genjutsu breaking techniques and attempts at controlling the nine tails.

These are more secondary techniques not relating directly to battle. Oro basically just shoved as much battle training at sasuke as he could - which is what he needed to verse itachi. They were training for different things.

pervy sage taught naruto the basics . before that naruto was a terrible ninja . keep in mind kakashi was not succesful at teaching naruto the basics before . after training with pervy sage naruto was easier to teach .

in that 3 years gap... it is only sasuke and sakura who learned much...

Sakura with medical jutsu and fighting.
Sasuke with more jutsu and maybe some forbidden jutsu...

while naruto learned just a little... but if you are to check on the story... jiraiya only polished what naruto has... for he know naruto is kinda weak when it comes to ninjutsu but is wise when it come to using the only jutsu he has... so thats what i think jiraiya did...

Indeed, but Jiraya should've taught him at least he use of kage bushin and his chakra afinity. Come one, the only thing naruto has is rasengans variations. I like naruto, but I think he should have more atacks. If he had learned at least a basic weak atack using futon, we could''ve seen some beast futon techniques that he would learn during part 2. But that's not what happened.
