[Theory] Another Way Of Looking At What Sasuke Said.

Juubito goes for Naruto. I doubt Naruto would have died that fast hes really really fast. He could have probably dodged it so saying Sasuke "saved" him isn't right. Maybe Sasuke instead wanted to Solo Juubito instead of Naruto fighting.

Also him saying,"not you". "I will be the one to delete the past". If he was gonna delete the past shouldn't the images of Kakashi and Sakura be marked out also? Maybe he wants to delete the past as him erasing some of his mistakes and he wants to defeat Juubito, so he can "erase" the past and Naruto being crossed out means he doesn't want him or him doing it.

Eh, just an idea, but it still probably means he wants to FHK NARUTO.

Sasuke used Vegeta style . It's like when Vegeta says he will kill Goku and won't let anyone else do it. So by "not you" he mean't he won't let anyone else kill Naruto because he is the one who is going to "delete" the past , because Naruto won't allow what Sasuke wants and he knows it

From my prospective, he does want to eliminate Naruto.

Why?

Sasuke has gone down another path, one to erase his so called past. In the previous chapters he's talking about wiping out the entire system (through his thoughts) and creating a new... and gets interrupted. It took me awhile staring at the split photo and analyzing and I came upon a theory. He wants to kill Naruto ONLY because he is the holder of the nine-tailed fox.

Nine tailed fox attacks the village > Uchiha are blamed > Quarantined > Massacre.

In a way, the nine-tailed fox plays an important role in the Konoha system, besides the Juubi it's the strongest tailed beast and while keeping Naruto as the holder and as a leaf ninja, Konoha holds the absolute power out of all the villages and countries. The first hokage started the system, distributing the tailed beasts as a sign of good faith to the other countries.

I don't think he harbors a grudge to Naruto anymore, more like he wants to get rid of what's inside him.

Eliminating the past, eliminating the "system" and the tailed beasts along with it.

That's my theory anyway.
