I find it funny that after seeing how Tobirama's ultimate edo tensei continuous explosive paper bomb technique failed, Hiruzen still used shuriken as if they could do something more. I thought someone uses his most powerful moves in these conditions? Or does it mean it's Hiruzen's most powerful move? It seems that Kishi won't give him more fire power which is pretty sad considering he was apparently called a god of shinobi

They are testing Juubito's abilities and powers to understand what he has in his arsenal intead of attacking blindly; and then they would probably pick more effective techs from their arsenal and make their strategy for it. It is like the first chapter of them displaying something; it would be more interesting if their abilities show extensions and progressions within chapters.

OT: I don't think he would defeat any of those people in that list; but the way he fought and observed this chapter proved that he is indeed a "professor" of a ninja.

Databook 2 states that Shuriken Kage Bunshin can create thousands of shuriken. Must have been a retcon.

It probally isnt retcon.

He probally just didnt feel as though 1000 would be necesarry.

I see Hiruzen's (and all Kages) strength this way: the person was made Kage because at that time, they were generally considered to be the strongest ninja in the village. When Tobirama died, Hiruzen was strongest in Konoha. When Minato became Hokage, it was because everyone agreed that Minato was then more powerful than Hiruzen. When Minato died, everyone looked around and decided that Hiruzen was strongest again.
What we've seen of prime Hiruzen is his statue face in the cliff.

Minato wasnt made hokage becuase he was stronger than hiruzen. Minato was made Hokage becuase Hiruzen had been hokage for 40 year AND HAD THE OPPURTUNITY TO RETIRE.

Orochimaru was the first person choosen to replace hiruzen, but he was going down the wrong path so they choose minato. Does that mean Orochimaru was stronger than Minato, because they asked oro first?

I doubt he was 17 when he became the Hokage.
Also don't forget Tsunade is now 56. ( like Hiruzen was when the Kyuubi attacked the village ). And she didn't wanted to retire.
