[VS] Sai vs. Kankuro

Before anyone jumps to conclusions, I'll list both of their abilities to refresh some of your memories :yeah:
Kankuro

Sasori: Mechanical Light Shield Block installed into it. The left arm of the puppet is also able to extend. With this puppet, Kankurō can as well use the Red Secret Technique Machinery Triangles (basically bombing) and we can also assume the flamethrower and water jet are still usable.
Black Ant: Hidden serrated-blades in each segment of its arms. A barrel like stomach to capture opponents, this can execute attacks like Black Secret Technique Machine One Shot, Black Secret Technique Machine Two Shot and Black Secret Technique: Machine Triple Shot.
Crow:Several poison-tipped darts. Smoke bombs launchers. A blade that unfolds from its abdomen (in Part II). Hidden scythe blades on his torso. Hidden wrist knives. Hidden giant, poisoned needle in its mouth. Large blades on the joints of his arms, legs and head, used during the Black Secret Technique Machine One Shot
Salamander: Defensive capabilities, capable of going underground
Chakra threads: Taking control of targets, using ordinary things as puppets

Sai

Super Beast scroll: Mice used for tracking, lions for direct attacks, birds for high-speed sky travel, snakes for restraint, Benevolent kings for large-scale attacks, essentially unlimited paper bombs; can be attached to birds to bombard opponents
Sealing Technique: Tiger Vision Staring Bullet: Technique that seals an opponent in a drawing; incapacitates an opponent
Ink Clone Jutsu: Basic clone Jutsu; about as powerful as a shadow clone
Ink Mist jutsu: Quick escape; version of body flicker technique

Okay, Who do you think would win in a one on one match? Don't use the fact Kankuro was captain; they both did an equal amount of damage in the war.

This is a very interesting and awesome match-up and ive never thought about that. Almost both and especially Sai have not so much battle feats, but still i think they are around the same Level. When Sai is in the air it would be hard to reach him for Kankuro and Sai anyway is faster than Kankuro, but Kankuro has deadlier attacks.

In the end Sai will avoid most attacks of Kankuro on his birds and sneak behind Kankuro with a clone and surprises him with his snakes so that he cannot move. I would say Sai high difficulty.

I will give it to Kankuro; his puppets can counter Sai's ink creatures; the could get harmed or destroyed from the weapons and techniques from Kankuro's arsenal; they have lots of versatilaty within themselves. He can also defend himself with puppet techs. Sai's ability to take flight would seem like a problem; but Kankuro can most likely extent his range of attacks because he use chakra strings which don't have a limited length as far as i know. I say Kankuro mid-high diff; but just to say, i am no expert on these characters.
