I honestly think Kishi is not going to give Hiruzen amazing feats to live up to his hype,
and I also believe we are never going to see ''PRIME'' Hiruzen in action either.
so where do you rank hiruzen

I find it funny that after seeing how Tobirama's ultimate edo tensei continuous explosive paper bomb technique failed, Hiruzen still used shuriken as if they could do something more. I thought someone uses his most powerful moves in these conditions? Or does it mean it's Hiruzen's most powerful move? It seems that Kishi won't give him more fire power which is pretty sad considering he was apparently called a god of shinobi

Did you read the part where it was stated they were merely testing juubito's abilities.

Hiruzen did in 10 seconds what none of us or the other kages for that matter could do in 2 chapters. And that is live up to his professor status and completely analyze obito's complex jutsu, while engaged in battle.

The shurikens where that best choice, if you think about it becuase they have no nature, so he could clearly see what property obito's attacks had without his attack nature conflicting with obito's. The man is brilliant and credit should be givin.​

Hiruzen displayed incredible intelligence.

He used a barrage of shuriken since:

1. The explosions block field of vision and as such the Hokages gained no intel from them.

2. Shurikens can't be countered by Preta Path.

3. They do not block sight so they saw what Obito did to counter them.

you know whats weird hiruzen is known for his kage bunshins jutsus but we get kage bunshins shurikens but not 1 clone yet, then tobirama is known for his mastery of suiton but we get hiraishin and kage bunshin instead, we can't even get suiton bunshins what you doing kishi?

Databook 2 states that Shuriken Kage Bunshin can create thousands of shuriken. Must have been a retcon.
