Many people are saying that Sasuke only protected Naruto because he wanted to be the one to delete the past, or in other words, kill naruto himself. Sasuke didn't want Obito to kill Naruto because he wants to kill Naruto himself. However I want to add that, the flashback of Team 7--emphasizing on Naruto--mean more than just Sasuke's intentions to kill Naruto. Through his flashback we see that perhaps Sasuke also did not want Obito to kill Naruto because if Obito killed Naruto, the bond between the two friends would not be completely shattered. If Sasuke watches Naruto die in the hands of another he will hold a grudge against the murderer and cherish Naruto's bond/friendship even more. Basically Sasuke would be crushed if he were to witness his best friend die, if he didn't do it himself. So, if Sasuke kills Naruto on his own, he will successfully erase any feelings of fondness and love he has towards Naruto.

However another theory I have is that Sasukes meaning of "I will be the one to delete the past" actually means this: He wants to erase the past issues he and Naruto had by earning his old friend's trust through that sudden Amaterasu shield. The Team 7 flashback shows that he did cherish his team, so perhaps his true intentions may be to fix the almost-shattered bond between the two.

i been trying to figure out what he meant by all that, is he still evil, did he just break all bonds with naruto just now? or was that obito's doing that instant, kishi is stirring confusions on purpose

Seriously Kishi could at least be a little more clear...I swear Shakespeare is easier to analyze than this..

I'm torn between those two theories because I've been thinking the same thing. Some people say "not you" speaks loudly, but I'm still really confused about those two words Sasuke spoke. "not you".

I disagree. This thread explains in detail

In short, I believe with him still hurting from losing Itachi as well as whatever information the Uchiha Tablet had, Sasuke's goal is to destroy the Bijuu. As such, he saved Naruto because he alone will destroy the Tailed Beast within Naruto (AKA: Kurama). That's his intention anyhow.

Your theory is actually really, really good.
