It is important to understand how Sasuke's character is being developed power-wise. The development so far has been "disappointing" to many, but it can be summed up to suspense on the part of the author. He doesn't want to put all his eggs in one basket.
It is generally assumed that Sasuke is still the "old" Sasuke that possessed a Kaleidoscope Sharingan, prior to transplanting Itachi's eyes.
This, is a gross misrepresentation that defies story logic.
The purpose of Naruto mastering the Kyubi's chakra, was to be able to be victorious against Sasuke in their next battle, as well as the fact that the Kyubi was his birthright. The purpose of Sasuke transplanting Itachi's eyes, was for very much the same reason. But of these had a "completion" aspect.
Naruto himself stated that he had gotten stronger since battling Pain in Konohagakure, where he had mastered Sage mode. Sasuke on the other hand, is so far written to be at this level of power, as the similarities would show:
Naruto's old "Rikudo mode" is closer to Sasuke's old Susanoo, only now, these states serve to amplify their older powers. Naruto's elemental jutsu Wind Style: Rasenshuriken benefits from the Kyubi chakra, while Sasuke's elemental jutsu Enton: Kagu-Tsuchi benefits from the Susanoo. In addition, both now have smaller-scale powers that they never had prior.
Sasuke's next step in power, would be his Yamabushi-class Susanoo, which Kishimoto is keeping under wraps for the most part. Why? Suspense. We've already seen what Naruto's Kyubi transformation is capable of: it's the Kyubi. But have never seen a Yamabushi-class Susanoo up against a proper enemy. The only hint of it's offensive power was when it caused a shockwave just from throwing Zetsu at the ceiling.
Beyond that, Minato still has to give Naruto the final Kyubi chakra to complete the transformation, while Sasuke may be given the "true" [Perfect] Susanoo to coincide.
Naruto I believe, will have another element benefit when he gains the last Kyubi chakra. I'm not sure how Kishimoto would handle perfect Susanoo and Sasuke, besides possibly giving it wings to go along with the Karasu tengu imagery or more Amaterasu-based blades.
Thus, Kishimoto has several opportunities:
1] Detail the power of the Yamabush-class Susanoo
2] Detail the power of the finished Kyubi transformation
3] Detail the power of the finished Susanoo
4] Detail ways in which these two powers work together; "Yin and Yang"; "Izanagi and Izanami"
