This is merely a peice of a larger theory I am putting together, I am posting this for self reference purposes and to share my thoughts and get feedback. If you are truly interested in understanding the larger picture of this theory I recommend reading all the parts as they are all quite short.

... ... .... ....

In a prior thread I laid down the premise of why i believed the 3rd Eye Technique of Sungakure was related to the Infinite Tsykuyomi Technique that is used within the Eye of the Moon Plan. In this thread I am going to take that idea one step further. This is going to be short and to the point and is mainly to lay the groundwork for a bigger theory that I am working on.

Introduction

In the prior thread I did explain why I felt the IT (Infinite Tsykuyomi) was related to the 3rd eye technique. Now to further build on this idea we need to look at the things we would see if the two jutsu's were related.

Chapter 1: Comparison

Now here I am going to compare Chibaku Tensei to the 3rd Eye Technique so we can see what they both look like when being used.

Now let us look at something for a second:

Chibaku Tensei:

Now compare this to the 3rd Eye technique:

Mechanically speaking the 2 jutsu's are very similar, so much so that one could make the statement that Chibaku Tensei is merely the 3rd Eye Technique on a far larger scale, ofcourse missing the 2nd step of turning the circular structure into an Eye.

Chapter 2: Breaking down IT

Now the first thing we are going to have to understand is what jutsu we are talking about when I refer to the IT. In actuality IT is really 1 Jutsu broken up into 2 parts.

  1. Chibaku Tensei
  2. Chibaku Eye Control

*Note that Chibaku Eye Control is not a real jutsu rather it is what I have named the 2nd part of the techique that way it is easier to refer to.*

Long story short, the 1st part is the creation of a large ball-like structure, and the 2nd will be the part where the user uses said ball-like structure like an eye.

Conclusion

To build on my main theory a bit, the general Idea is that the Sage used Chibaku Tensei to seal the Juubi, but that Chibaku Tensei is only the first step in a 2 step grand jutsu that is a variation of the 3rd Eye Technique but on a larger scale. This would also explain why only someone with the Juubi's power can do it, because only the Juubi has enough Chakra to cast the 2nd stage 3rd Eye Technique.

This is the core of how I believe the Infinite Tsykuyomi Jutsu will work.

With this added piece of evidence I think that I am slowly but surely starting to build a case for why the Infinite Tsykuyomi and the 3rd Eye Technique of Sungakure are likely to be variations of one another.

Keep in mind that this has nothing to do with elements, both techniques are Yin techniques, not elemental techniques.

Enjoy the read!!

To tell you the truth I can't see the slightest similarity in regards to how chibaku tensei and 3rd eye technique work.

Ever since itachi's use of tsukuyomi I have always been a fan of it and also fear it.

I have a hard time believing that, then again you can lead a horse to water but you cant make him drink. Give it time, maybe youll see it.

As I said in your previous thread, I will disagree with the Third Eye Technique having anything to do with Project Mugen Tsukuyomi. However, you may be right with Chibaku Tensei being involved..

Chibaku Tensei is definitely involved as far as I am concerned x__x

"I will disagree with the Third Eye Technique having anything to do with Project Mugen Tsukuyomi", somewhere in the pit of my stomach I cant help but dislike the premise of a statement like this. Its somewhat like an athiests position, to simply disagree but give no reasonable alternative. x__x

It is fair enough that you disagree, but do you have any ideas on how the Infinite Tsukuyomi might work? To my knowledge my theory is the first to attempt to explain how the technique may work, and although you may disagree with it you cannot argue that it doesnt make sense. I mean all the parts fit together perfectly x__x, but maybe thats just in my head.

Well, I really can't see the 3rd Eye Technique involved, but the Chibaku Tensei part is indeed plausible.

Keep in mind that this is only 1 of the evidences, please check out the PT 2 thread that is the follow up. I am sure onces I compile everything into a complete theory it will seem more convincing.

What you're saying is very plausible indeed, makes pretty good sense and it's clearly explained but what you've said is leading me to believe that you think he'll create some form of sharingan pattern on the moon to control the people (I'm not saying that that is a stupid idea because it's not it makes a bit of sense, just asking if that IS what you're thinking).

Yeh, strickly speaking I had this scan in mind, in it you see the Moon as an eye looking down on the world.

I realize this is getting off topic, but the atheist does offer an alternative (non-existence of a god); it is you who has decided to dismiss that alternative as unreasonable. The burden of proof rests upon those (theists) who assert the existence of something (a god).

Anyway, there could be merits to your theory. I shall continue reading.

What I'm truly interested in is if that was really even the true plan in the first place

Ugh, The way you even approach trying to attack Christianity is saddening.

1) The non-existence of god is not an alternative, it is a position. When I speak of alternatives I speak in point of things like base human instinct, acts of altruism, purpose in life, and most importantly and majorly morality.

2) All proof that has been given of Christianity has been reject to the point that anything short of god himself is admissable. But lastly your point is horrible, burden of proof is a law term. Within the realm of science there are 2 ways to denounce a position, one is to dismiss the proof, which atheist are good at, and the second is the disprove the position, which atheist are horribly bad at. I prefer to refer to the fame R. Zacharius qoute "It's not the absence of evidence but rather the suppression of it."

But please, please dont take this as a rebuttle or a challenge as I dont debate just anyone when it comes to apologetics, especially over the internet. And based on your introduction I find it very unlikely that debating you would be anything other than a waste of time. Not being superior just being honest. But ill humor you, let me know if you want to debate religion and ill send you a little questionaire to gauge you and see if your worth my time...
