On what grounds can it be compared to Sage mode at all? They are two completely different things.
No, it wasn't; as Gaara passed out from the sheer exhaustion of moving the sand that he used to defend the villiage from the C3 - which would've buried the village if he hadn't done anything. This was after the C1 bombardment, Deidara even stated himself that Gaara could've simply released the sand on the village to save his own skin -

Deidara ate some of Gaara's chakra infused Sand, which powered up the bombs -

An accident on my part, I actually gave him the scan with it earlier in my argument.

ohhh you meant with the mouth on his hand .. lol i though you legit meant eat as in stuffing his face.. he did not infuse the sand to make the bombs stronger .. he infused the sand with his bombs allowing them to dig through gaara's sand it had no influence on the blast

EDit-And he was already defeated and captured when he was moving the sand ... hence *LAST BIT OF STRENGTH* but ya i agree with elite .. just leave it to the judges

The uses of summons were well-ordered, and Naruto summoning Ma and Pa to allow Jiraiya to enter Sage Mode is a fine idea. The format however was slightly hurting my eyes and could have been done better.
