[Question] Could Bartholomew be Sabo all grown up?

Could Bartolomew be Sabo all grown up?

Bartholomew says he and Luffy go way back.

And unless he is a completely new character we've never seen before, there is no other contenders for a character we've met that "goes way back" with Luffy.

Anyways what do you guys think?

It would be pretty cool if you ask me, they would both be fighting for Ace's Mera Mera fruit to prevent it getting into the wrong hands.

Anyways....it's hard to say. I can't see how in the world his appearance would have ganged so much. I mean had he not been a Barrier man, but a bat Zoan maybe.

I could see his ties having something to do with a tie other than Grey Terminal. I mean it could even be an indirect relationship even though it was caused by Luffy.


If he does have ties...I'd say it would be that Bartolomeo is either friends with or related in some way to Sabo....just can't see his appearance changing THAT much.

Hmmm, doubtful though. Oda is good at implementing new characters. Just remember that dude that looked like Sanji on the poster. We were all like "who the f*ck can this be, he knows the mugiwara?", and it's some random fodder.
But cannot reject your idea, though it seems to me, that Sabo wasn't some freak back as a kid, lol..

I don't think Sabo is Bartolomeo, they could have a connection..
Bartolomeo is only one year a pirate, or known as a pirate for a year, it could be he was send for search for Luffy or find information about Luffy (because he was missing, by dragon or Sabo if they have connection with each other)
One thing is sure he is fighting for the mera-mera fruit for someone else, he said when he won the B-block round "the mera-mera no mi will belong to that person"
So there is somebody above Bartolomeo, or he fights for a ally

He could fight for Sabo (when he or a spy heard about the prize of the tournament)
He could fight for BB like a ally(BB wants to have more devil fruits, and he want to make sure someone wins it)
Or he is a ally of other Yonko who is in need for the Mera-Mera No Mi.

He shares a history with Luffy(I think), maybe most likely Ace as well that could also be the reason for his fight for the Mera-mera no mi, that nobody gets the Mera-mera.

You got that right man and as much as it pains me to say Sabo is no more, his spark was extinguished before its time but it was a shining and warm one. Sabo will forever live in our thoughts along with many others whom when we think about it takes all the might to stop the tears, those like Ace, Pops, Merry, Asuma, Jiraiya, Lelouch, Light Yagami, Captain Commander Yama-ji, Ulquiora and many others I say rest in peace just as I say to Sabo the same.
