So apparently there is a guy in England who did a test.The test question was
"How was earth created?"
Even though no one really knows how it was created he answered "God made the universe(this including earth).

He got this question marked as wrong, he was 1 mark away from A+ so after complaining he still did not get it.

What does this say about our community, where a world once worshipped God and tried to respect their guests to a world where people cry about iPhones and how religion should be banned.

He got a A for crying out loud why is he upset? It does seem off though that they'd mark it as wrong.Oh well he still got a solid A.

Yes but the point is, believing in God basically got him an A.Is this really fair, its like not believing in God makes you loose your job.

Bullshit, you can't get A+'s in England. You either get awarded an A or an A*. Either way, if the test wasn't related to religious studies, and rather, physics or the like, the answer isn't correct for the purpose of that particular test.

Different teachers mark differently. Sometimes you get like 1c, 1b,1a up to a higher level. For example, my Art teacher marks work like this "A1, A2" ect.

You're supposed to put what they teach you not what you believe its f'd up but thats how it is. Plus that is a really dumb thing to put on a test

Yes it is unfair. Since alot of science requires belief, just like religion does, it can be unfair. But that said, if the course he is takeing has an actual answer, then he shouldve put that. He shouldve written "Noone truly knows how the earth is created. I believe God made it when he made the universe through this theorized process ............"

But it annoys me slightly, how there are so many THEORYS that are accepted as HARD FACT. Nobody truly knows how the earth was made, and we only THEORIZE about it. Until we can actually observe a planet being made we can say exactly how it happens. The way i see it is like how people used to think the universe revolved around earth(was a accepted scientific fact, till a new theory came along and through OBSERVATION proved the earth orbits the sun(this observation was brought by the telescope)

People are so arrogant these days. They accept all theories that go along with their personal vision of how things are, as FACT. When alot of it is only theory.

Sorry for getting off topic. At least the guy was still able to get an A. That shows how hard working and smart he is. Hopefully he wont have to deal with stuff like this as much in the future.

If it was a general test, he can't really get marked wrong or right but if it was a science test, the teacher was right to mark him wrong.

Science = No religion

Religion = Limited science

Not to be rude but it was stupid for the student to write that (based on the assumption that it was a science test)

Public schools aren't allowed to teach religion so this 'smart' student should have used common sense to figure out the answer isn't meant to be a religious one.

Since he did get it wrong, we can assume it was a non-religious school. Yes it is fair that he didn't get marked correct for that question.

''god created it'' is the easy way out to avoid having to say: ''I don't know''.

This thread makes no sense.

lol so if the question was how does rain happen and he answers it as god does it , what will u say then?
Obviously god isnt an 'answer' to thse question.
We know from a theory that everything started from a bigbang so that should be an accurate answer

If it was a Bible test and he wrote about the Big Bang Theory he would get a zero too ..... Its always 'When in Rome do as the roman do' ... The accurate answer for a Physics test would be to mention the disputed status of the answer along with a short note on the suggested theories.

The point of this thread as the point of such an unanswerable question on a test?

Obviously dude got marked wrong for his uncreative response, he should have cited the entire Genesis.

I think they are asking how god made it.... As in what materials and what process he used to create the planet. God making the Universe still doesn't answer how god made earth, creating a sun/blackhole is a lot different than a habitable planet.
