I think Sakura should have trained in the Shikkotsu forest to have gained Slug-style Sage Mode to use for the 4th Great Ninja War. It seems logical as she would then have another parallel to the Sannin as both Orochimaru and Jiraiya achieved Sage Mode and so Naruto and either Sasuke or Sakura should. But since Sasuke is OP as it is and Sakura is in desperate need of worthy abilities then this would make a lot of sense for her to have.

Also: Is any one else bummed out by Sakura's bland super technique and disgusted by the fact that she said that she was on Naruto and Sasuke's level because of it.

well the war came on kinda fast.. & plus Sakura was storing chakra in her forehead seal..
she has excellent chakra control , but learning sage mode would have been a bit of a problem combined with Byakugou.

Tsunade is partnered with Katsuyu so wonderfully she is pretty close to a slug herself.
She probably could have been in Sage Mode , but she cares for her appearance even more than Jiraiya did
and he hated the way he looked in Toad Sage Mode so im sure Tsunade would have hated it XD

Sakura having it though with all that's happened would have been kinda unfair for the other characters.
the other characters who kishi keeps overlooking. So far Ten Ten is the only one who was pretty shunned
except for her holding that legendary weapon.

The difference between them isnt that great, its Sakuras 2.5 to Tsunades 3.5 in Databook. Sakura might be just more talented that Tsunade. Shes only 16, yet the only thing she lacks compared to Tsunade is rapid self regeneration, nothing more.

That rate is from Databook that was released 4 years ago, though, and Sakura is in the age when human body still develops quite rapidly. For example, revived Chiyo noticed that Naruto became taller since the time when they seen each other for the last time. What Im trying to say is that probably, Sakuras current base chakra reserves would be rated at 3. Besides, like I already said, chakra reserves arent problem for her becuase of the Yin seal.
