thread title.

i'm saying yes.

what's your opinion?

btw. even though ftg slash is a kenjutsu tech, i doubt you need a sword to use it, a kunai should be enough, if a weapon is required for the tech. the only difference between the two is the length of the weapon.

Yes he can if wanted to but since he doesn't use swords , so no.
But i don't think , there is much point in asking this , just take your kunai and slash the target again and again . :D

Having a sword in your hand is completely irrelevant to how the technique works

Its a space time ninjustu how did anyone come to the conclusion that you need a weapon in your hand to perform it ?

Minato's is more advanced considering it doesn't take him any prep time to use it.

Minato used it in chapter 637 with his Kunai on Obito.

The FTG is different, used by Minato and Tobirama.

minato used his own ftg and not tobiramas.
you don't seem to understand what i meant.
i'm asking if minato can use tobiramas ftg slash, since he most likely based his own ftg of it.

ftg slash = hish-speed kenjutsu tech.
ftg = instant teleportation with marks.

Give Minato a sword and I'm sure he could. Even his Kunai might be sufficient enough.

It's labelled as Kenjutsu and Space–Time Ninjutsu. Minato is an expert S/T user, and I see no difference in using a Kunai instead of a Sword, other than it not being classified as ''Kenjutsu''.

The principle of FTG slash would still be the same.

Minato modified the FTG, so why would he use Tobirama's FTG slash when he can use his own style of FTG slash?
It was not like Minato teleported in front of Obito and then slashed Obito. His attack on Obito was a combo attack (FTG + Kunai slash)
Have you ever seen Minato using a sword? Then why he'd use Tobirama's FTG slash?

you seem to think that tobiramas and minatos tech are the same, but they are not.
minatos tech uses uzumaki seals(kushina taught him various sealing techs), which tobiramas ftg slash doesn't have.
on the other hand, tobiramas tech seems to be a high-speed tech, which doesn't use markings/seals.
there are benefits in using a high-speed tech in certain situations.

minato most likely took tobiramas ftg and added the uzumaki seals to it, creating his own version of ftg.

It was not like Minato teleported in front of Obito and then slashed Obito. His attack on Obito was a combo attack (FTG + Kunai slash)
^^ this doesn't make any sense.
your first and second sentence contradict each other.
