Chapter 33- Ace in the Hole
Daiki unsheathed his zanpakuto at the same time that Hisagi did. It was like a regular katana and it had a silver handle. He pointed it at Hisagi.
Daiki: Look what the cat coughed up. Hisagi?s become a captain already.
Hisagi: Let?s just hurry up and begin the fight.
Daiki: If you say so.
Without another word, Daiki rushed at Hisagi with exquisite speed and attacked him with an upward sweeping slash by bring his sword up from below, and though Hisagi blocked the attack, it was hard to struggle against it. There was so much force with that one strike that it sent Hisagi flying up and back. Hisagi recovered but too late, because by the time he did, Daiki whizzed by him and cut him across the arm. Hisagi spun his sword around and then charged at Daiki, who slapped Hisagi?s sword aside and punched him in the face.
Daiki: I?m disappointed Hisagi-san. I expected more from you.
Toshiro: These shinigami?they have spiritual power equal to or even surpassing that of some of our captains?they?ve grown.
Kenshin looked at Rukia, who had fallen to the ground and was panting hard as Lara approached her.
Kenshin: Rukia?you?ve become strong?don?t die o_o
Daiki: Say, Hisagi, where?s captain Abarai?
Hisagi: Promoted.
Daiki: Hmph?makes sense. He was really strong.
Hisagi swung his sword at Daiki, who blocked Hisagi?s attack, causing their swords to clash. Their swords clashed for a while, and then Daiki put his hand on Hisagi?s blade.
Daiki: Bakudo #38: Yowaiken (Weak Sword)
Daiki?s hand glowed yellow and the color spread through Hisagi?s blade to the sword?s hilt. Daiki pushed his sword against Hisagi?s knocking him back and then he flew toward the captain. Hisagi tried to counter Daiki?s strike, but when he did, his zanpakuto shattered and Daiki cut Hisagi across the shoulder, ripping his captain?s robe. Hisagi stumbled backward and panted.
Daiki: Why don?t you release?
Hisagi: You know why?I?m not going to lose yet.
Daiki: Still so reluctant to use your shikai? *sigh* You?re pathetic. In an all out battle like this one now, you can?t afford to lose at any cost. That is why when you are CLEARLY losing, you must show no restraint! Didn?t you ever learn that, Hisagi Shuuhei?!
Daiki appeared directly in front of Hisagi and brought his leg around in a sweeping arc to kick Hisagi in the face, sending him crashing into the ground. The locals who had failed to follow orders and go toward the Soul Society shelter ran inside their houses and closed in areas in order to stay safe. Hisagi got up and flew up to Daiki but Daiki grabbed his hand before he could land a hit.
Daiki: You expect to fight me with a broken sword? Wow?Hisagi-san, you?ve gotten sloppy over the years.
Hisagi: Bakudo #9: Geki!
Hisagi?s and Daiki?s bodies were suddenly surrounded by an outline of red and Daiki was paralyzed. Hisagi broke Daiki?s grip easily and he took a few steps backward.
Hisagi: Reap?Kazeshini.
Kazeshini turned into two sickle-shaped scythes which were connected by a long chain. Hisagi pointed it at Daiki.
Hisagi: Kazedobu (Wind Drain)
The wind around the tip of the rods swirled and created a vortex of wind that began to suck in Daiki in toward the blades, and he couldn?t escape it because he was still paralyzed. As he got closer, the wind became more rapid and powerful. Suddenly, Daiki broke free of his paralysis but still got sucked in by the vortex.
Daiki: That?s more like it! *puts hand at top left corner of my face* U_U
Hisagi: *eyes widen* O_O
Suddenly a mask formed on Daiki?s face in the shape of a lion?s face with the mane loosening around his air. Daiki?s spiritual pressure drastically increased and his eyes were black except for the pupils, which were yellow. Daiki disappeared suddenly and a cut appeared on Hisagi?s shoulder right as Daiki reappeared behind him with his sword drawn. Hisagi turned quickly and flung Kazeshini at Daiki, causing the wind to rage as it flew toward the Vizard. Daiki flash stepped to the side as Kazeshini was about to hit him. He flew at Hisagi and they clashed weapons, but Daiki?s attack was clearly superior. He knocked Hisagi?s blade aside, but as he was charging at Hisagi, Hisagi pulled the other sickle blade of Kazeshini which had missed Daiki, and he made it come back to him by cutting Daiki?s back. Blood spewed out of Daiki?s back and he fell downward but recovered in the air.
Daiki: Impressive!
Daiki put his hands together, as if to form a serpent hand seal. He positioned his arms toward Hisagi and a small silver sphere of condensed spiritual energy formed. It grew larger and soon was at full power.
Hisagi: That?s! O_O
Daiki: Cero!
Daiki fired his silver cero at Hisagi and Hisagi tried to counter it by throwing his Kazeshini at the cero, but it was too powerful and blasted Hisagi, creating a huge explosion. Hisagi fell to the ground and made a crater when he hit the ground.
Daiki: *sigh* That was quick.
Hisagi: It?s not over yet! Bankai! Monsun Kazeshini!
Daiki: *sigh* Let?s put an end to it!
Zanji: *clahses swords with Leon*
Leon: You?ve gotten more powerful than our last encounter.
Zanji: Why, thank you! *pushes back against Leon*
Leon jumped backward and put his sword back in his sheathe. He held his hand open out in front of him. On the palm of his hand was the number ?0?.
Zanji: Hmm?Zero, huh? So you?re the strongest Espada.
Leon: Exactly. Cero Espada, Leon Schneider.
A golden-colored cero formed at the palm of Leon?s hand and fired at Zanji. Zanji swung his zanpakuto and hit it against the cero to negate it, but it took a lot of energy for him to do so.
Zanji: Whew?what an attack. o_o
Daiki: O_O *looks over at Rei and Jiro* JIRO!!!!
rei and Jiro had been fighting. Jiro had his hollow mask on, but he was falling to the ground, blood spewing from his arms and legs. His hollow mask cracked and he crashed into the ground. Daiki looked at Rei, who had taken little damage but had a few cuts. Her sword suddenly released a purple/green mist that covered her wounds and began to heal them. Soon, Rei was fully rejuvenated.
Daiki: What the hell?
Rei looked directly at Daiki and charged at him with incredible speed. Daiki grabbed his sword to block the attack but suddenly, someone else blocked her attack. It was Roku.
Daiki: Roku?!
Roku: Get out of here?your ability isn?t fit to fight hers?I?ll take her on. Now go! Quickly.
Daiki: Why?re you helping me? We?re enemies?
Roku: So, we are?that may be so?but Bianca?s group is our number one priority! So I suggest you leave before you get in the way of this fight. *smirks*
Daiki: Hmph. Fine?but don?t expect us to go easy on you guys either.
And?don?t get killed, punk. *leaves*
Rei: You saved him? Just like you always were. Sticking up for everyone you knew, even if you didn?t know them very well.
Roku: You?re one to talk?former Medical Captain. *struggles against Rei* I?ve got you now. *smirks*
Bianca smiled and muttered a few words to Hanzou.
Bianca: Release the two?
Hanzou: Devlin?Andy?come out!
A gigantic garganta gate opened up violently above Bianca and from it came two human-sized people. They were hollows but with a completely humanoid form. One of them had twisted eyes and they other had spikes on his arm. One had blonde hair and the other had silver hair. They stepped forward, surprising everyone with their presence. Even though they looked completely hollow, their spiritual pressure was immensely powerful.
Kenshin: Their reiatsu?it?s too great for a regular hollow?
Yoshi and Kazuki: But they don?t look like arrancar at all.
Bishamon: Then they can only be one thing?you all should know?
Ryu: So, these are the Vasto Lordes. They?re insanely strong, I give them that.
The two Vasto Lordes disappeared. Andy, the one with silver hair, kicked Yoshi aside and then punched Kazuki into a building with ease. Devlin attacked Toshiro and made a cut on Toshiro?s arm. He disappeared as Toshiro was about to attack and reappeared behind Rag with a cero pressed against Ragnaroc?s shoulder. Devlin blasted the cero through Ragnaroc?s shoulder, and though it was a relatively small hole, a lot of blood came out of the hole. Ragnaroc unsheathed his sword and swung it at Devlin, barely missing Devlin?s shoulder and cutting a piece of his hair. Andy punched Zanji in the face and appeared next to Bishamon to smack him in the chest with his arm, but Bishamon grabbed his arm and threw him down. Andy recovered in the air and sonidoed again to get above Bishamon?s group and blast them with a cero.
Andy: Say goodbye!
Kenshin: Bakudo #81: Danku!
Kenshin formed a shield of spiritual energy above them and protected everyone against the cero, which blasted back in Andy?s face, surprising but not harming him. Andy went down to Hisagi and stomped on his gut, causing him to spew blood from his mouth.
Zanji: Dammit! We?re obviously outnumbered and outmatched?
Bianca: Time to end it?*whistles*
From the Garganta came a boy with light hair. There was a scar that ran vertically down his face where his right eye was. His eyes were red and he had a hollow mask on his left shoulder, which seemed to be attached to it.
Bianca: Too bad Izuru isn?t here. I?m sure he?d like to see his old lieutenant again?right Kaze?
Kaze: ?????:|
Bianca: Destroy them.
Suddenly, something pierced through Andy?s arm. It was made of blue spiritual energy. It had a broad head that was shaped just like an arrowhead?because it was an arrowhead.
???: Hey! That ain?t fair. You?re outnumbering them and outmatching everyone else?
Lara:
Standing a tenth of a mile from the battlefield?s center was a young man with dark hair and a captain haori over his shinigami robes (Akira). Behind him was Carlie, a tall dog-like man who stood above 9 feet tall, and a man with dark blue eyes and long black hair which he keeps up in an intricate white headpiece. The latter two had customized captain haoris with the kanji symbol for ?0? on their haoris. To Akira?s right was black-haired, bespectacled young man of average height holding a web-like bow made entirely of pure Reishi. On Akira?s left was a big young man in a shinigami robe with brown hair and he was of Mexican decent.
Akira: Sorry to keep you guys waiting?but we've finally arrived.
Carlie: We?re here to even out the odds a bit.
???: Though it goes against my clan?s code?I?m not allowing you guys to harm Soul Society.
Andy: Who are you?!
???: The Last Quincy, Ishida Uryu
Andy: A Quincy? O_O How is he...how are you alive?!
Uryu: I'm not a human anymore...I'm a soul...but with all the powers of a regular Quincy...ten times over! *shoots 200 arrows at Andy* It's over ~_O
