Misconception: Madara trying to use Rinne Tensei

So i just re-read chapter 637. And this is just a theory but i dont believe Madara was even trying to revive himself yet. Naruto even stated that the hand-signs were different then when Nagato used the Jutsu.

Correct me if im wrong, but was Madara not the one who initiated the jutsu in the 1st place on obito?

and on page 10 of chapter 637 we see madara smiling when "he", yes "he" shot his own chakra rods at the Amaterasu to cancel it. and on page 11 he is still confident and obito is still using the same hand sign.

With that said, i believe Madara purposely made Obito become the juubi jin due to him knowing that obito will not be able to control it.

And yes i know it states that "that was a failure but..." i think he was referring to them stoping him using the jutsu...


What are your guy's thoughts? i think this would explain why Madara is still calm and claims he has a "trump card"

The seals were different because he got schooled by Obito he stated right before he started the Jutsu he wanted to be the Jin, If he truly wanted Obito to become the Jin then he wouldn't be calling it a failure nor would he be currently shitting his pants at the possibility his trump card would fail.
