Tobirama is Minato's great grandfather ( theory )

let's look at this theory open-minded and unbiased.

• [ The age matches ]
- Tsunade,54, ( Hashirama's granddaughter ) is about 16 years older than Minato,38, ( who is said to have died at 22 ). Ages people have kids vary so Tobirama's grandchild could have had a child about 4-8 years earlier than Hashirama's making the child older than Tsunade easily allowing the ages to match up where Minato can be Tobirama's great grandchild.

• [ Blood Type ]
- Minato's blood type is B as is Tsunade's. Blood type generally runs the same throughout family members, so Tsunade who is Hashirama's granddaughter has a high probability of having the same blood type as Hashirama and Tobirama. Minato does as well. Although Hashirama's and Tobirama's hasn't been shown it's basicly accepted than since Tsunade has B and they more than likely do as well.

• [ Different last names mean nothing ]
- Tobirama's grandchild could have easily been a girl and married a Namikaze.

• [ Traits ]
- Both have spiky hair, cool, calm, collected attitudes, and innovative genius.

• [ Jutsu ]
- Both use Shadow clones, FTG, 4 seals technique, and a sensory technique. Keep in mind sensory techniques aren't a jutsu you can learn its an ability you are born with and improve over time. The finger to the ground sensory techniques they both use are the best indication that they are related as they are the exact same and their arsenal is too similar to be ignored.

This is my theory as to how Minato and Tobirama are related. If you'd like me to do a theory on how Jiraiya Is Minato's Uncle just let me know.

He's a little younger than Hashirama and Minato being only 16 years younger than Tsunade (who is Hashirama's legitimate granddaughter who he saw before his death). And look at Hashirama. The guy doesn't exactly look like an old geezer. I don't think vitality and longevity is a senju thing. Just an uzumaki thing.

Hashirama can't be that old. But I might be wrong.

The quoted post was posted by a retard. Ignore it bro ; tis a decent theory but blood type may not be identical. For example : Minato can inherit recessive genes from one parent. Meaning that unless his Great grand mother , both grand parents and parents all had dominant and recessive genes for Blood type B we cannot be certain of a link. There is a one in 144 chance of the possibility.

But it is a decent theory ; we just need Kishi to pump out more material to either prove or disprove it

You could be right. Geneology always messes me up. I just thought that Tobirama is old enough to be Hiruzen's father and Hiruzen was old enough to be Tsunade's father and where Tsunade is older than Minato then it would make him Tobirama's great grandson. Hence why Tobirama's granddaughter would be older than Tsunade because Tobirama's child had children earlier than Hashirama's. Just my guess though.

Hiruzen is about 40 years older than Minato. Hiruzen was in his 20's when Tobirama died.

I agree completely. I just put the blood type to show that that's one possible connection.

Kishi keeps a pretty consistent gab between his characters. Kakashi is 30 now I believe, only 14 years older than Naruto's generation. He might be 31 now now quite sure.

But the other points like jutsus is pretty viable. I found it weird that two of the most op jutsus in their categories (the finger sensing jutsu and ftg) were used by those two. Kishi also said something about revealing the 4th's lineage.

Yeah their jutsus are way too similar. As far as naruto goes I think it'd be great for the plot because naruto can work with sasuke and undo the damage between the uchiha and the village for the next generation yo fix the mistakes of the previous generations. If tobirama is naruto's great great grandfather it would make it all the better.
