The clones weren't illusions. It was just Kakashi taking the little chakra he had left and dividing it over that many clones. Note in the page prior, Naruto using kage bunshin and Kakashi states

. Naruto didn't exactly have a ton of chakra left himself. If he did, he would have just used

The user of kage bunshin can divide their chakra in to multiple clones like Kakashi did, and Naruto did in that scan vs Mizuki. They'd just be weak.

Kakashi can distinguish crow clones from regular and still has genjutsu..

The dogs are more in number than any clones he can make.

You just overall are not smart, at all.

Here on versus threads we don't use plot no jutsu giving main characters the win. We go based on their abilities, which is why Zabuza would have beat Kakashi if it wasn't for Team 7.

Kakashi can't decipher Water Clones from the real body, which is why he got tricked and caught in the Water Prison Jutsu, that's a fact.

He summons 9 dogs, Zabuza was shown to make at least 10 Water Clones in the beginning of their second fight, that's a fact.
