[Discussion] What is sasuke's role in obito's plan?

here is something i don't understand, obito worked very hard to manipulate sasuke, he basicly was there actively since itachi died. but when the war started he had him sit in a dark room with bandage on his eyes and told him to wait. why to go to such lengths if the world would end after the war? why making him want to destroy konoha if there won't be a konoha after he become jinchuriki and cast infinite tsukuyoumi?

it seems like suddenly obito doesn't care about sasuke at all now, then why work so hard to get him?

my guess is that obito put some kind of mind control jutsu on itachi's eyes before he put them into sasuke's eye socket's. so at any point and time obito can have sasuke join his side.

Well Sasuke is the only other surviving Uchiha besides himself (Obito). So I would assume he'd want to keep him around just in case they want to revive the clan. (Sidenote: does Obito's man parts even work anymore with him being half zetsu and all? If not, then definitely he needs Sasuke to be the sperm factory)
He might also be interested in using Sasuke's sharingan somehow for unknown reasons. I remember Tobi being very pushy to Sasuke to take Itachi's eyes after their fight.

I think he only was interested in having another pawn and he wanted Sasuke to defeat Naruto in order to prove that the curse of hatred was stronger then the Will of Fire.

lol, "sasuke, the only reason i let you live is because i need your sperm!", wouldn't that be a plot twist. but still, why revive the clan if the world is going to end? but i did like the idea of him needing sasuke's eyes, maybe now that he (might have) lost his eye he will take sasuke's.

SIMPLE he wouldn't have to go and get madara eyes if sasuke wasn't stubborn, sasuke wound had to restore obito.

A pawn for manipulation seeing as he's very similar to Madara having unlocked Susanoo at an even earlier age and a possible failsafe before Nagato died. It was alluded to after the Pain arc before Obito went to retrieve Nagato's eyes. Now, it's probably nothing seeing they now have contrasting ideals.

Now that Obito has the 10 tails he no longer needs Sasuke, the moment the 10 tails was resurrected all of Obito's plans and back up plans became redundant, he now just wants to initiate the Infinite Tsukuyomi.

Basically he was trying to use Sasuke as a card that he could play if need be and now that's unnecessary, that's why he doesn't seem to care anymore.

Think he was just gonna get used to fight Naruto.. Remember Obito said that he'd arrange a proper time for Sasuke and Naruto to fight.

My guess is...
Obito needed Sasuke's EMS. Let me explain...
The moment Obito used Izanagi during his battle with Konan made me think that every Sharingan eye acts individually. There's no need for two eyes depending on each other in Uchihas.(apart from non Uchihas like Kakashi and Danzo)
Obito wants his MS to remain MS only. He can use any other eye in the other socket. Now why he want Sasuke's eye only?
Itachi was going blind... And Obito knew that Itachi will die by the hands of Sasuke. Then Sasuke will either go back to konoha or destroy Konoha. In either ways, at some point, Sasuke will go blind and will need a replacement. That time, Sasuke will use Itachi's eyes and awaken EMS.
Uchiha Sasuke is the only Uchiha alive wielding EMS and by the addition of Senju cells, they will turn into Rinnegan. Now why EMS?
Because if a person wields EMS, he will never go blind as well as achieve powers like Susano'o, Rinnegan which can be switched at user's will. The power of both Sharingan as well as Rinnegan.

Yea I don't understand this anymore aswell.

At frist I thought when Tobi was actually madara he needed a healthy uchiha to use as a host for the juubi, but now he apparaently wanted to be the juubi himself.

We cant say for sure that wasn't true the whole time but maybe because naruto beat nagato, tobi was extremely worried that if naruto can beat nagato then sasuke wouldn't be up to the task of taking care of business and changed his plans. He did say naruto put a wrench in his plans afterwall.
