Honestly i don't see how he can defend himself from her Kirikiri Mai or cast net

Shikamaru use talking justu to get her to come with him to a secret location, Shadow Imitation Technique justu to inpregants her.
Guilty justu because now she can not kill the baby father after 9 month when she is ready to fight again.
Baby fat justu will make her a little slower so knowing how smart she is she would come back when slim down.

Temari only because Shikamaru's lazy. Yes, that's it. Just because of that, there's nothing else. If he did use the month preparation time, then Shikamaru. But he has no reason to care for winning this fight if it's for the same reasoning as before. You said everything would be as it was in the original fight except with the abilities they had now right? He has no reason to really want to win this fight, so Temari. However let's say Shikamaru does try as hard as he can, he uses all of the month to think of different strategies. Then without a doubt Shikamaru, he's come up with strategies even in the heat of the moment that were amazing. In a month, if he really did try, he would find many ways to beat her.

When Temari was first revealed her wind style was just as high level in comparison to the other genin as he powers are now, and yet Shikamaru still surprised us.

Shikamaru didn't know the extent of her abilities last time, which is why he got short-changed at the last second due to chakra. His chakra and use of it has improved for sure and last time the only knowledge he had of his opponent was watching tenten get destroyed in seconds- barely enough time to analyse some random girl from the sand. This time he has a month to prepare with someone whose fighting style and jutsu he knows very well. Don't underestimate him.

If he tries hiding like last time, his fate would be the same as Tayuya's. During the chunin exams, Temari's wind wasn't even strong enough to cut a tree but during the end of part one, it was able to slice through hundreds. The shadow strangle jutsu is useless because Temari can dodge shadow possession.

Full knowledge benefits Temari more so than it does Shikamaru. This is because Temari's fighting style is obvious as all she does is spam wind. In the first fight, Temari didn't know the extent of Shikamaru's powers hence she miscalculated because she didn't know that his shadows can go underground. Now she doesn't have that problem.

Anyway part one Temari wins mid difficulty. Current Temari stomps low difficulty.
