how did hashirama know about rinne tensei?

as you can see in the latest chapter, hashirama recognised rinne tensei from its seals.

now, if he would be able to recognise the jutsu and even know it's name, then he obviously knew about the rinnegan's jutsu.
but if hashirama knew about the rinnegan's jutsu, then why did konoha not know about them when pain attacked? its only a max of 50 years later, so saying that the information was lost is foolish and stupid.
if konoha would have known about the rinnegan's jutsu, the village wouldnt need to have been destroyed AND jiraya would still be a life and well asset to the village...

hashirama knew about it because he recognised the life force in the jutsu: then how did he know the name?
the other hokage told him about it. oh? to the minute detail of wich seals would be used and what it would be called? as far as i know, none of them were even alive when konoha got attacked by the pains. yes sasuke could have told him but even sasuke didnt know shit about the rinnegan, he didnt fight pain and wasnt in konoha at the time of the attack, so saying he could recognise the jutsu from it's seals and showed all of them to hashirama whilest they were going there is a stupid arguement.
hashirama knew about it from old legends about the so6p: oh really? he knew the jutsu by it's seals, yet konoha didnt know shit about the rinnegan's abillities at the time of the attack, just about 50 years later?
he read the tablet/knew about it from madara: if hashirama would have known about it... EVEN IF.. then konoha should have known about it too as hashirama was so loyal to the village he even died for it. also, even if he kept it to himself.. who was he asking the question too?

conclusion:
1: plot hole
2: another rinnegan user that has yet to be told about ^.^ that's my favorite one too ^.^ but even if that would be true, jiraya died for nothing, and the village was destroyed for nothing.
3: he knew that madara survived and even spied on him in some way...

p.s. if my previous thread was removed because of the idiots posting on it, bringing up invalid arguement after arguement, sorry.. i'll make my threads more fool proof in the future. :yeah:

It's not a plothole.Remember when Madara tells Hashi everything about the Uchiha tablet.Only a person(Madara) with a rinnegan would be able to read it completely.Maybe Rikudo mentioned about creation,yin and yang, in the tablet,perhaps rinne tensei or any other rinnegan techs. he obtained when he became a jinchuuriki of the juubi.

it possible that all the myths that was talked about now was actually true and he witnessed it. kahkashi thought it was mearly a mutation when he found out about the rennigan when the geezer toad told him about jiriaya death. he probably also heard it when he was from his clan legends. he is a senju so im pretty sure there was mention about that ability to bring a person back to life.

myths that was mention in his day was probably all truths.

hashirama has even demonstrated rikudou's jutsu before, one that locked juubi in place, naruto used same on kyuubi right after taming it and kurama told it was originally from sage

hashirama is old friend of madara and he know rinne tensei

i can't give you straight answer how he knew the seals maybe he felt chakra what felt like originally used by sage

you can't find answer to this in manga but is completely possible him to know what rinne feels like coz he have done seals as did rikudou he lived in era where strenght was everything maybe senju have own secrets as well

To answer your question, rinne tensei is a kinjutsu and probably was recorded in Hashirama's scroll of seals. The same scroll Naruto steals in the beginning of the manga. That scroll was filled with forbidden techniques like multi-shadow clone jutsu. The reason why there was no information on rinnegan techniques is because no one thought there'd be a second SO6P, thus not a probable threat. The information for how to gain the rinnegan is contained in the Uchiha tablet, which I doubt Madara would have shared. Just like the Uchiha the Senju are descended from the sage, so I'm sure they had information on him, but it's not a stretch to think that they intentionally sealed most of his techs, do to how dangerous they are. His tech is not for normal peeps, so like lots of dangerous things in Hidden Leaf Village, they just swept it under the carpet Danzou style.
