The most powerful living ninja in the Narutoverse, with exception of Naruto, Bee, and at one point, Gaara, are not jinjuricki. Hashirama, Madara, all of the current kage, most of the edo kage (though Minato is a quasi-host now it seems and there is the 4th Mizukage), former akatsuki members, Kakashi, Gai, and all the other younger generation ninjas...none of them are/were tailed beast hosts.
So yea, interesting plot twist that Obito is now the 10-tail's host, but so what? He or Madara had always planned to become the host because they needed the 10-tail's power to cast the infinite genjutsu.
If anything I think the battle just got easier/more consolidated. Now it's the entire allied force against 10-tails Obito and Madara, instead of allied force against the uncontrolled 10-tails, Obito, and Madara. Stop Obito, you stop the 10-tails. If Obito dies, the 10-tails will temporarily die and be re-born (presumably like the individual beasts when their hosts die).
Though I think Madara may still have a few tricks up his sleeve, the war needs to end soon. It's been going on for forever. We're about to see the allied forces, including edo and living kages, battling just two, albeit powerful, characters: Obito and Madara. Time for them to lose and for us to start seeing some resolution to the plot. I want to know:
1. What is the significance of Naruto having tailed beast powers other than Kurama's. I don't think he will become the new ten-tail's host because that would spoil the new relationship between Naruto and Kurama. He also doesn't have any of the 8-tail's power (though Bee could easily give him some) and no 1-tail's power (unless Gaara somehow has some left and can provide it). More likely he will use this power for some new rasengan-based jutsu. Tailed-beast Super Rasengan or something.
2. What will happen to the tailed beasts after the war? It doesn't seem likely they will return to their respective villages since everyone has been saying that system of power balance doesn't work.
3. Will Sasuke really return to the village? I think he's more likely to start his own village like Orochimaru did. And what will Oro do? Both characters seem to be in limbo between good and evil, committing to neither. I don't see Oro returning to the leaf village either.
4. I like Neji, but is he really going to be the ONLY non-fodder death in the war? Seems a little unrealistic, even for a manga.
5. What will happen to all of the edo kage after the war? Orochimaru may end the technique which could send the Hokage 2-4 back to whence they came, but what about the first who broke free of Oro's control? Will he simply dissolve after having made peace with the way he is leaving the world, as we saw some of the other edo return to the world of the dead?
6. How will Madara be defeated? Reaper Death Seal him away? Since we know now that Reaper Seal can be broken, it doesn't seem safe to simply lock him away with it. Someone could let him out again. I doubt some cloth sealing technique would hold him either.
7. Where is the 1st Tschuchikage? We know he split himself with fission, but he hasn't been around the battle field. With Kabuto trapped in Izanagi, there is no one controlling him. Was he released when Itachi broke Edo Tensei? We weren't shown that.
8. Where are all of the Zetsu? Why haven't they joined the battle? Hard to believe 100,000 are dead.
9. Where is Black Zetsu and why hasn't he joined the battle?
10. What will happen to Kabuto after the war? Hard to believe he'll be stuck in Izanagi for forever. He is smart, plus Oro has some motivation to seek his freedom from it.
