Today's chapter really confused me. I understood everything until the part when the Juubi escaped. When Minato "killed" Obito, he stated "you fellow of the traitor", then, Obito's faced turned into wood or something like that.

At the end, did Obito become the jinchūriki? I thought Madara was planning on becoming the jinchūriki. It mentioned that Obito blocked Madara's jutsu. Wtf happened.

And, lastly, what's rinne tensei, did Madara use it? Did obito block it?

rinnei tensei gives life to some1 whom user wishes to.....madara was on halfway to become alive again n minato stopped rinnei tensei by breaking obito's hand seals ..thats y markings on madara's face started to disappear in d beginning n then when minato broke the jutsu he again came back to EDO form ...

The Juubi didn't "escape", it was drawn into Obito's Body, as he sealed it into himself, thus becoming the Jinchuuriki.

Now, how exactly Obito became the Jin is not explained in detail (yet), but I theorize the moment he realized Madara was using him to perform Rinne Tensei, he started the sealing ritual parallel. Some think he didn't use Rinne Tensei at all, but that is contradicted by Madara starting to change...
