Syren hides in the shadows of an oak tree and watches two similiar looking Blank Slates holding hands and walking around a field. These two look the same and yet... They look different... he looks at the two, discerning the gender of each. After he establishes which is which, he pulls out his little black book and finds their pictures. Why is the female worth more than the male... And why are these two worth more than regular Blanks.... Is it their eyes? He pulls out a set of zoom lenses and looks at their faces, specifically their eye color. I guess blue is kind of rare... For a Blank...

Syren stops after a few kilometers to rest. He searches his pockets and pulls out his communicator, ands sends a message to Lucifer. It reads:

Anyways, though we tend to be a rag tag group of slayers, would it be out of the question to take over New Amsterdam? I'm looking at it now and the layout is pretty good. It's about thirty clicks north of NYC and has a pretty decent port on the eastern side of it.

Syre sends the message and closes his communicator, sighing in the process. "I'm bored... I could use companionship."

Syren feels his communicator vibrate and looks at the message. He ponders for a moment. Then he replies:

Depends. Do you want to keep the humans living there or should I kill them all? I have two approaches. First one is I could go in at night and slaughter them all in their sleep. From what I can tell, they are a peaceful trade town. The second is I could go in and preach about the Box and ask them to aid us in our fight to save the world from the oppression of war and starvation that plagues it every year.

Syren reads the message and facepalms. "of course... He has connections." he sends a simple OK and walks into New Amsterdam, towards what looks like the town hall, the biggest building at the center. He walks in casually and walks up to the lady at the desk. He clears his throat and puts on a thick southern drawl.

"Good day to ya ma'am. Me name's Ole' Greg. Yous can call meh Greg fo short, that's what the rest of the world calls meh, hehe. Anywho, I was a wonderin' if a you can point me in the main direction of Joey. Me an him are tighter than two bugs snug in a rug let meh tell you, hehe. I'm just a passin' through and wanted to shoot him a howdy do, if ya dig meh pitch, haha."
