Anyone watch this? Every episode is the same thing, person falls in love with someone they met over the internet than they actually meet them and it's someone completely different from what they pictured .
I'd never do online dating but if I ever did I would have to oovoo/skype the girl at first....and even then I still wouldn't be 100% sure. That show sucks but still there is a moral behind it...Never trust strangers online UNLESS you can actually get proof they are not lying.
Quite frankly, the people who get fooled like that are not too bright....I mean if someone refuses to at least video Skype with you AFTER sometime in which a so called relationship or ´´bond´´ has been made; wouldn´t it be extremely suspicious? ESPECIALLY if the person who refuses is way too good looking or ´´leads´´ an awesome life (supermodel,CEO,actress etc).I'd never do online dating but if I ever did I would have to oovoo/skype the girl at first....and even then I still wouldn't be 100% sure.
Right, it´s all common sense, strangely enough some people were born without it...Ironic isn´t it? It´s called common sense because it´s supposed to be common to everyone or in other words it´s not supposed to be a special sense or ability gifted to a select few.Online dating is risky, but not extremely implausible. People seem to use the day old excuse "But you don't know what they really look like!" however, modern times made that excuse outdated. There are video and voice chatting programs you can use to get to know said person better. That in itself shows you if they really match up to their supposed physical attractiveness. As for personality, that's easier to find out as well, don't focus on how they act around you or how they treat you. Focus on how they treat others, especially people who are strangers, or someone of a lower ranking (if you are on a forum). Their true personality will show through how they treat people "lesser" than them. Pay attention to the signs. If you have doubt, then get out.
Basically, use common sense when engaging in online relationships. And if you plan on meeting up, be in a public place and bring friends for safety.
The reason why people on Catfish get catfished is because they failed to use common sense. Like juankimari said, if they don't want to call you, or video chat with you, they are not who they say they are.
I don't recall ever seeing a happy ending. I think one or two couples actually got togetherthe show is complete crap , i believe that people can aslo find love over the internet , but not like that show shows it , i mean you haven't even seen them ? :/ really? how dumb can you be ? ......but then again it's MTV , i saw five episodes & i saw the same , is there actually a happy story ?
