[Question] Incorrect File Extension

So there's avatar I'm trying to use, but I keep getting a message saying it's the incorrect file extension. What does this mean, and how can I fix it?

Change it from .gif to .png or .jpg depending.

It means that your image is, for example, a png but it's using the gif extension for the filename. You have to change it to whatever the picture's format is. o_o

Next time download the image to your computer and rename it from 'gif' (or whatever) to 'png', 'jpg' (etc). Or you could upload it to imgur by using the link, it automatically renames it for you.

Also try to observe the size of the avatar.

"Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 150 by 200 pixels or 500.0 KB (whichever is smaller)."

I sometimes get that when I try to change my avatar and it's always something to do with the size ( the 500 kb thing ) of it or whether it's not png/gif etc...
