The Shinigami of the Shiki Fuujin is specifically a Hannya Demon named after the Hannya Mask used in Kagura Ritual Performances in Shinto Shrines:

(The mask itself was named after the word 般若 Hannya meaning "Wisdom" taken from the Hannya-Haramitta Scroll that speaks of the Six Perfections to become a bodhisattva aka a Sage/Sennin like Rikudou Sennin)

What is peculiar however with the Shiki Fuujin's Shinigami is that while the Shinigami is Shinto:

The Shinigami of RDS is holding and using a Buddhist Prayer Bead called a Japa Mala used by Buddhist Priests in chanting and prayers

Like I've hypothesized before, the Uzumaki Clan was based on the Urabe Clan that adhered to Ryobu Shinto which is Shintoism that incorporates Shingon Buddhism:

The Uchiha Clan symbolizes Shintoism only (Susanoo,Amaterasu,Izanami,Izanagi, etc.)

While the Senju Clan symbolizes Buddhism only:

The Uzumaki Clan however represents both Shintoism and Buddhism:

The Triple Spiral Appeared in the Uzumaki Temple:

The Triple Spiral is one of the oldest (if not the oldest) spiritual symbols dating back to prehistoric times.

The Triple Spiral is said to represent the three realms Land, Sea and Sky, it also represents family relationship in trinitarian symbolism:

king of the tengus?? I thought it was a yokai. maybe its the ''the all seeing eye'' :I the ultimate source of ALL!
Yes Sojobo is the God-King of Tengus, Tengus are Yokai but they are also Minor Kamis (gods)
And it is said the Ancient Ninjas of Japan trace their heritage from Tengus

All seeing eye like the Eye of Providence? =D

Simple but good, I like it.

So you're saying that Uzumaki is the predecessor/origin of the Uchiha and Senju, but wouldn't that contradict the symbolism of Naruto and Sasuke's rivalry? After all, they're supposed to be opposing forces, but if this is true, then that means that this pattern of Uchiha v Senju is disrupted...

Not exactly, since the dichotomy is not strictly a clash of bloodlines but rather a clash of ideals. The Younger Son and his descendants like Hashirama did not have friendship with the Bijuus like Rikudou Sennin and Naruto, as an Uzumaki, did.

Obito does contradict this statement in the manga, apparently there's supposed to be a pattern that includes Naruto and Sasuke, he even notes how Naruto resembles Hashirama, and we all know that Kishi likes to do this symbolism. [ ]

Tobi was pretending to be Madara at that time, so the veracity of his comparison is put into question

Not only that but he made a number of wrong assumptions already like this:

Obviously he was mistaken.
