sasuke's Respect for naruto?

I never discounted it. It's a part of Naruto's power just like EMS is for Sasuke.

I also know at the moment that Naruto > Sasuke. I may be a fan of Sasuke but I'm not a dickrider.

Because Madara was the leader of his clan and was at war with the strongest clan in existence. Sasuke's reason for taking Itachi's eyes was so that he could "crush Naruto with every ounce of his strength". Not only that, he made himself go blind by working for Tobi and getting revenge on the people that tried to protect him. Madara was only trying to protect his family. See the difference now?

He went partly blind taking revenge on one of the people responsible of the massacre of his clan. At first, he didn't want want Itachi's eyes.

Also, Madara wanted to become stronger so he could defeat his rival, Hashirama. He may have wanted to protect his clan but ultimately he wanted to be stronger than Hasirama, so his and Sasuke's motives for gaining power were not that different at all.

I'm going to go against everyone here and say that Sasuke does respect Naruto. He is the only living shinobi that he sees as an equal and this is why he also despises him so deeply. Not to bash on Sasuke but he is the character with the biggest ego in the whole manga and another shinobi that is as good or better than him drives this superiority complex to the roof.

Think about it, he is born within one of the most notorious clan to every live, he is the son of the village's police force, his older brother is hailed as a genius and to top it off the kid is at the top rank of his class being praised as a virtuoso himself since he got old enough to hold a goddamn kunai.

Then comes Naruto, the class' good last, real freakin goof that is pretty much as sharp as a beach ball ( no hate, Naruto is just awesome this way) and they start to work together just to see that stupid mofo growing stronger and at a faster rate than Sasuke could not even imagine in his most wicked dreams. What do you think happens to the most egoistical person in that universe ?!

So in short, someone like Sasuke admitting someone as strong or stronger than he is, is respect. He even respected Naruto's wishes not to kill anyone from Konoha before they fight and ultimately he accepted to take Itachi's eyes so he can crush Naruto with all his might.

I honestly think that Naruto is actually the only person in the manga ( that is alive of course) that Sasuke acknowledges and respect. Enough to want to give all he that he's got into the fight he promised him.

"Naruto's power." No sir the foxes power, without it sasuke would have solo'd naruto without even using the sharingan, he respected him for knowing what it feels like to be alone. Other than that he cared less, he didn't kill him because he didn't want to follow Itachi's ways.

Lmao really? Naruto and the fox counts as one since they both rely on each other. If naruto did not have the fox I bet his sage mode will be more powerful. Sasuke will never admit that he considers naruto equal, but the truth is, he does. That's why he was jelaus in part 1. He's alway jelaus when Naruto gets power-up. Right now, Naruto is the only person in the entire universe that Sasuke sees as an equal.
