[Question] how much does bankai increase a users power

I think average shinigami captains would increase ten fold.

Mid level shinigami captains would increase by 10-15times.

High level shinigami captains would increase by 15-20 times

i think it all depends on how strong their base shikai is ...
ex: yamamoto's shikai is way stronger than any other captains shikai n even bankai also IMO ..
so depending upon their reaitsu n base shikai their bankai would proportionately increase

In terms of power up there's no real scale you can measure with to be fair as the bankai's all vary in power.

the zanpakto is a reflection of a shinigamis soul . Tosen bankai creats absolute darkness , which given his blindness fits him perfect . Its kind of hard to compare different bankais . They are all so different

There is no set number of times that it increases their base power. But a general rule of thumb is that it increases their battle potential by 10 times. Again, this is only a rule of thumb - a ballpark. What matters is what the Bankai is and how it's used in battle.

Strictly going by the manga... I would say 5x-10x times stronger but it only seems like Ichigo is the only character that only gets physical enhancements as a result of his bankai.
