A sociopath? Yea, try again. His entire reason for wanting to destroy the leaf was his love for Itachi, and sociopaths can't love anyone more than themselves. Sasuke gave up his life for the life of vengeance for the deaths of those he loved and cared about. You don't have to like him, but he's far from a sociopath.
