If Deva doesn't use CST(and for that, Nagato needs to concentrate all power on him), he loses to Kakashi alone(without kamui). Kakashi back then already had both Asura and Deva defeat before Choji's intervention and back then he lacked knowledge from the start

No, I do not believe they can. Shinra Tensei is the worst possible match-up for a Taijutsu-Only Master like Maito Gai. It will make Tendo evade all his and Kakashi's Taijutsu attacks. In addition to that, almost all of Kakashi's arsenal as well. Kakashi and Gai have no counter to Chibaku Tensei. The only possible one is Kamui but I doubt that Kakashi can engulf the whole Chibaku Tensei in a Kamui. Presuming he can, he will have little to no chakra left and Pein will then stomp on Gai & Kakashi. Keep in mind, I'm trying to avoid Kakashi just using Kamui on Tendo right away.

Yup withought much trouble too, Kakashi, Chouji and his dad would have taken Deva withought Asura's intervention Im sure Guy would be a better partner than those 2, Kakashi already has knowledge this time round too.

People are looking at the Shinra Tensei/Gai scenario entirely wrong.

Deva may get him with it the first time..but Gai can throttle him in gates way before that 5 second time limit is up.

Gai is actually a bad matchup for Deva, assuming he doesn't **** around and gets straight to gates..not the other way around.

Giving Gai Kakashi's analysis of Deva is taking away pretty much any chance Deva ever had.
