At first I thought Kishi's faves are Itachi & Minato... Now I'm certain it's Itachi & Kakashi...

Not really, you're just a big fan of Obito, although I agree Kakashi has a big plot-shield because he shouldn't be able to beat someone who is such a strong villain.
Obito's total power in his databook is 18. He has never beaten anyone in a fight n/or ever was a thread against anyone that was in a higher level than Kakashi (Minato, Naruto, Itachi, Sasuke, Kabuto, Orochimaru, all the hokages, etc). He was really good manipulating people, even though he was the one who actually got manipulated to do everything Madara wanted. I must say that after this Manga episode, I really got disappointed in Obito's power.

He's strong but isn't in the top 10 all-time. The plot armor for Kakashi is getting a bit overboard

What happened in last chapter is totally acceptable...
Kakashi was always far more skilled than Obito...
All Obito gained in these long years were some jutsus and a senju body to spam them...
And when Kakashi rendered them useless, it was bound to happen and it happened...
Obito is stronger than Kakashi but Kakashi is better than him anyday...

Take away obito's ms, gedo mazo, and jins and what are you left with? and uchiha that only knows grand fireball.IF you have history with kakashi and You know him, Later on in life, No matter how strong you get, He can beat you with a flashback of you and A handy kunai.
If kakashi knew Madara, He would of had a flashabck of Them fighting and then Magically remembered how to counter every move he will make and then fodderize him with a kunai.

Take away Kakashi's ms and what are you left with? The man who copied 1000 techs with 3 tome.

Idk if it was gated guy....More like base/weightless.
Sasuke got beat by weighted lee.(just like how obito got beat by weighted guy...twice)
