Why didn't Obito teleport his body to the real dimension?

When Kakashi stabbed him, why didn't he teleport the part of his body that was being stabbed? I mean, the same as he does in the real world, when he teleports any part of his body to the Kamui dimension, but the other way around, teleporting a part of his body to the real dimension.

It seems like he can't. That feature can only be used from the real world, apparently.

I would understand that, if Obito was unable to come from Kamui dimension when he teleports completely, but he does in fact come and go from Kamui to Real dimension, so this flaw in his jutsu is weird.

Can't explain with facts... but I can manage to make a theory.

If Kamui's Dimension is something unique from that set of eyes, this means that in order to make use of this dimension the user needs a lot of chakra.

When Obito is inside the Kamui dimension, he has to mantain it stable so he can survive inside.

Every time Obito uses the versatile ability (the one that teletransports the body partially), he is creating vortices that grants unestability to the Kamui dimension (something like what Kakashi shown us in the battle against Deidara). That could put him in danger if not properly used.

That, and Obito's low chakra reserves in its last moments.

Possible explanations:

1) Obito sends part of his body to the real world -> random shinobi stabs him
2) He was trying to stab Kakashi while he was getting stabbed
3) He didn't think about it in the heat of the moment

His own dimension he controls it. Send over parts of his body into the real world, it'll fall to the ground. He'll kill himself.

I feel that the most plausible reason is that he can only warp parts of his body from the real world to the kamui dimension but can freely transport his entire body to and from.

you know how i interpret someone saying ''plot no jutsu'':

''i didn't understand so instead of re-reading and enjoying the story, ill blame the writer''

Obito's Kamui is obviously not complete, [missing Kakashi's sharingan]

alongside this we can ''ASSUME'' that while inside the dimension, he isn't free to manipulate the phasing as he does outside it

Combine with the fact that his weakness lies in the moment of attack + the fact he has been :
1.Controlling 6 Jinchuuriki and their Bijuus via Rinnegan link
2. Battling the Hachibi + Naruto Kyuubi Mode + Kakashi + Gai
3. Maintaining control of the Gedo Mazo until the summoning of the Juubi
4. Constant use of His sharingan in phasing through attacks [even though he got tagged quite a few times when they figured how it works]

Also Obito is emotionally conflicted no matter how he tries to hide it, [thats the beauty of the story, he keeps trying to justify to Naruto that he is right and the way he used to feel was wrong],

All these add to the reason why he went from an untouchable shinobi, who was hardly ever bothered

to the reckless shinbo who lost to Kakashi
I reckon that he believed Kakashi was not on his level, and he got carried away and lost that tussle

Either This ^^ or Obito can partially teleport his body parts from real world to Kamui dimension only.

Did you forget what happened last time he did when kakashi was in there ?

He would be left unguarded on either side at the same time.

That is why he didn't use it in there period.

Going to sig that bolded part :p. I totally agree. You can always come up with explanations for it. You can even use your imagination a bit until the subject is proven otherwise in the manga.

being in the kamui dimension = Obito being completely vulnerable, his kamui is useless since it's already being used to be in that dimension

As seen when Obito tried to touch Rin, and his hand phased through her neck (right when she died and he got MS), it seems as if he has no control over which dimension/place his body parts go to. That being said, the only thing he can probably control is whether to trigger the jutsu on or off (remember he deactivated the jutsu, and then was able to hold Rin in his arms).

Therefore, I conclude that Obito cannot do the reverse of the jutsu -- i.e. phasing his body parts to the real world if he is in the cube dimension (as you suggest). He can only decide whether or not to have the jutsu active on him.
