Does the chakra of clones return to the original?

Sorry if this has been asked before - but I didn't see any threads on it.

So if someone makes like 10 clones, and then disperses them, does the clones' unused chakra go back to the original or does it disappear?

No, the chakra disappears when the clones disappear.

But even if Naruto has a ton of chakra, I find it hard to believe that he can spam all his clones and still be alright afterwards.

I dont know, in a normal shadow clone the chakra disperses into the atmosphere when destroyed,
but with a Sage Clone the chakra would go to the original

Ok, thinks of it this way. A regular ninja has a chakra level of let's say, 15. They need at least 4. to live. By creating two clones, they are left with 5. This leaves them barely alive.

Now, Naruto has a level of about 200. He can create 20 clones, and still have about 100 left, well over the needed amount.

Of course, this isn't what the exact numbers would be, but you should get my point.

The Nature Energy goes back to the original. Different things.

But during his battle with Negi, it was stated that he evenly disperses his Chakra.

Did you really miss the point? Okay, let's try this again.

Standard ninja= 30.
Creates 3 clones, left with 10. Needs 8 to survive, is barely alive.

Naruto has 1000. Makes 10 clones, is left with 100. Well over the needed amount.

Get it now?

I see...thanks for clearing that up.

I thought that the remaining chakra returns to the user (hence why the Sage Mode shadow clones worked). I could be wrong though

If the fatigue, damage, and knowledge from a clone returns to the original, why wouldn't the un-used chakra. The clones are made up from chakra. Each added clone will make the energy supply lesser and if you take a clone away you get more energy to split between the others.

I've always thought that whatever the clone was left with (be it chakra, damage, knowledge, fatigue, etc.) went back to the original once the clone was dispersed.

That's what I thought at first, but it seems the general consensus says otherwise...

I know that it was stated somewhere in the manga by Kakashi that damage, knowledge, and fatigue would return to the original. It's weird that any remaining chakra wouldn't. But, I guess on that point we'll have to go with the consensus until someone finds proof to show otherwise.
