Alright guys it's time to give a comparison as to how strong the Sage of Six Paths truly was.
First off I would like to discuss how people try to compare Pain's Rinnegan to the Sage of the Six Paths Rinnegan.
In the Manga Pain even states himself that his Chibaku tensei is MAJORILY Inferior to the Sage of the Six Paths Chibaku Tensei.
Pain Admitting his Chibaku tensei was nothing compared to the Sage of six Paths which the Sage Created the Moon
Also please notice how exhausted Pain was after making his chibaku tensei in the manga scan above.
Next, The sage of the sixth paths used chibaku tensei and created the Moon which is 1000x larger than Pain's AND keep in mind the sage was on his death bed.
Keep in mind he used his OWN chakra to divide the juubi chakra and then created the moon. He did not use Juubi chakra to create the moon
The mere fact that the sage could create a Chibaku tensei thats 1000x larger than Pain's on his death bed as well as without relying on the juubi chakra is more than enough proof that the sage is the most powerful person in the series.
I'm also willing to bet the Sage probably has different abilities than Nagato minus chibaku tensei BUT if they have the same abilities the Sage's are probably 1000x stronger as well
Finally... The sage soloed the Juubi.. Meaning he used his own chakra and life force to defeat the juubi
Also as far as his black epicenter that chibaku tensei creates.. Im sure the epicenter(black orb) for the Sage's Chibaku Tensei is probably the size of Pains entire Chibaku Tensei so there is no way it could be destroyed easily.
