He was just like naruto, he was happy & confident in himself. He wasn't as skilled as kakashi in hand to hand combat. Kakashi was in Anbu Black Ops. Im sure their taijutsu is on point. He sacrificed himself to save his friends & was still alive. He met Madara who preached to him about peace in the ninja world and told him there was away to escape.
So he goes to help rin & sees her die. You see the girl you love dead by your bestfriend's hand, in suicide.
He's left dark and empty. A confused mind floating in darkness. Killing thousands of people in spite. He ruined naruto's life. He was determined to change the world to not only save him, but everyone. You could see in the genjutsu he tried to reason with Kakashi.
Obito's character was developed nicely.
The way Madara is betraying him ties really well with the story, I mean he's evil what else did you expect him to do?
If he doesn't die right away, I hope he can talk to Minato one more time.
