His patch wasn't on... And Unohana had been fighting him as well as healing him numerous time so of course she lost! Duh. You think she didn't grow stronger since Kenpachi was a little kid ? That she stayed at the same power level ? Yeah right... Kenpachi was stronger back then but the moment he put restraints on himself, he gave Unohana centuries to get better while he himself, at best, stayed at the same power when he would break his restraints

I'm not a Byakuya hater. I already stated in my first post on the first page that I like Byakuya way more than Zaraki. But I don't let my personally feelings get in the way of manga facts.

As it stands now, Byakuya cannot beat Zaraki. Zaraki's training with Unohana puts him on a way higher level. You admitted it yourself above in a previous post so I don't understand why you're calling me a hater.

The fact that Kepachi never used his true power means and implyed in my understanding that he is stronger that Byakya.
He just reawaked his power, but he never used his Shikai and do not forget his bankai.
I know his sword is in relase mode, but he never used his shikai , because he did know the name of his sword.

Kenpachi is stronger than Bykuya even without his bankai but Byakuya's intelict is far far grater than that of Kenpachi.....it is 50-50 chance for Byakuya and Kenpachi..........

I don't know why people underestimate kenpachi's intellect......in the bleach wki it says that he is so smart in terms of battle analysis, that it's aweakness on his side because he overthinks in the heat of battle......
to finish this, Zaraki has always been more powerful than byakuya, i mean he beat Unohona, there's no debate whatsoever unless you are just a fanby!

Byakuya may be my favourite Bleach character(as shown by my avatar) but after Kenpachi "came back to normal" he's now out of reach for Byakuya, in fact he is now the strongest is the Gotei 13(stronger than even Kyouraku and Ukitake) and he's only gonna get more power from his zanpakutou!

I like Byakuya more than Zaraki, but at this point it's hard to argue that he's stronger.

Zaraki and Byakuya were already close to each other before Zaraki's training with Unohana.
Since then he's:

• Broken free from his mental restraints - this means he was never at 100% in any of his previous battles
• Begun communication with his zanpaktou - this means he can actually learn and use his zanpaktou's Shikai

You mean to tell me that you people think:
Byakuya can beat Zaraki at full power, no eye patch, two hands, and knowing his zanpaktou's name? I don't think so.


Byakuya's currently recovering at the Reiokyu and is unknown weather or not he'll get any power ups, but at this point anyone who says Byakuya is stronger is a fanboy who can't think logically.

I won't start flame war and explain you all hints from the very start of the manga where Kenpachi was for some reason Missing out in MOST important fights "because he would be a game changer" and his power show off was saved for later.

But if Kenpachi without his BANKAI end up like this

by looking at those pictures you can barely see the difference, byakuya did a good job smashing himself into that fatass wall
