Why doesn't the Kyuubi let Naruto die?

If the Kyuubi would revive when Naruto dies, then why does the Kyuubi help save Naruto all the time? Wouldn't it be best for him to let Naruto die, then revive (so he is free from being sealed)? I've never been able to understand this.

It may be that Kurama actually likes Naruto. Kurama may respect Naruto's attitude of never giving up and his value on friendship. Kurama, in my opinion, was lonely too but Naruto showed him what a close friend looks like. Kurama is not unintelligent either; he knows that if he is unsealed, people will still be out to capture him because he is an unmarked tailed beast.

Yeah about number 2, the Raikage said that. He said that if he killed Naruto then it'll be a while before the Kyuubi is revived, and therefore the war is ended/postponed.
