Hashirama had actual war experience and had to murder people while itachi never really experienced that. yes itachi was a criminal but he didn't ever experience way Also hashirama fought ems and ms users a ton and never died. itachi was weak and would run out of chakra too quickly to fight against hashirama.

prime itachi was actually sick, he didn't get the shield and sword til after he was sick
