1. Sasuke beat gaara in the chunins exam battle. He lost to shukaku gaara because he used up too much chakra and CS paralyzed him with pain.

2. Both held back at the end, if they both truly finished their attacks both would have died.

3. Sasuke did the best against Itachi by himself

4. This is a joke right. I hate to burst your bubble but, sasuke fodderized team 7 upon their first encounter. Also, he would have killed them if orochimaru had not stopped him. At the time he was too much for them and he wasn't even trying.
