I thought it was good. It was different from other animes i've watched so it was appealing. Sure the main focus of the series is character development and not action but that IMO is a great standpoint for any anime to have.

Although I will add that the second season gets a bit weird with the whole sister/step-sister/lover plot line.

It's ok, but only that; ok.

It's way too rushed and the second half is terrible.

The series practically revolves around a love story which isn't written well in the first place. It became so popular only because of its RPG theme, not because it was good or not.

It started alright, I think they should have just continued to stay in the first game instead of going into that fairy game crap.

Also Asuna's a badass female I actually found it refreshing to see some romance in a anime where the woman isn't a large breasted, overly nice and shy woman.

I started watching it, got to around episode 10 then stopped. I don't see how they can live in such a cool world yet still manage to show only the boring stuff. I mean they got to floor 70-something and only managed to show 2 boss fights...

And every episode is pretty much "Look at this new girl that likes Kirito, now look at THIS new girl that likes Kirito, now look at the original girl that likes Kirito" it's like a dating show.
