She used her byakugou mode because of her instant regeneration she had to keep herself alive to heal the other kages actually
The byakugou mode was actually better against madara

But now the kages are on their way to the battlefield and we will see if they will get a new powerup

She had no time. When she arrived to the battlefield, three of the 4 Kages had almost 0 chakra. After she finished to replenish their chakras, Madara said he is going to kill Tsunade first. So sitting in one place and collecting nature chakra in a situation like this wouldn't be a wise decision.

A slug can be cut and still live,that power has already manifested itself in the form of strength of a hundred men.

There is nothing a "slug sage mode" can offer.

She can already heal herself with creation rebirth and keep on fighting after mortal wounds are inflicted with the previous mentioned justu. What on earth would a slug endow here with now ?
