ALl that matters about his clan, was that he split it into uchiha and senju. Even if it is uzumaki, and so many people like to see spirals and claim as evidence, that would mean that all uzumakis are NOT decendants of the sage, as he only had two sons.

OT: I personally would like it to be in a similar fashion to what you've put here; however, from the Elder Son and Younger Son would branch out the Senju, Uchiha, Hyuga, and Uzumaki.....as the Hyuga comming from the Uchiha and the Uzumaki from the Senju doesn't seem very likely to me.

Especially when Kakashi mentioned the Hyuga being the oldest clan in the village (which still doesn't make sense plot wise.), and the Uzumaki and Senju are distant blood relatives. Were the Uzumaki from the Senju, they wouldn't be labled distant relatives, but an offshoot descendent.

Thank you, and that is why Naruto is an Uzumaki and not a Senju (representing Jūbi's Yang) for as an Uzumaki, Naruto represents Rikūdo, the human Uzumaki Rikūdo who fought the Jūbi prior to becoming its Jinchūriki, hence the proper dichotomy of Destroyer (Jūbi) vs Savior (Rikūdo Uzumaki) is achieved.
